Everything is a remix. Without the ability to be inspired by, copy from, and transform the work of others before us humanity would not have accomplished any of the amazing things that we have been able to. In fact, this ability is what makes us unique from all other life on Earth. In whatever small way I can, I hope to be able to contribute to this process.

However, we also live in an non-ideal society. We see time and time again this process abused by powerful people to squeeze profits out of the hard work of the really valuable creative contributions people make.1 If you’re reading this and you work for a company that’s scraping the web to build some dumb AI model, kindly reconsider your life choices.

If you would like to use any of my work in a commercial way, please let me know ahead of time and we can discuss terms. Unless you’re a major Hollywood studio, I’ll likely have no problem with you using it either for free or a small cost.
